Summer Voyaging

It's Sunday and I am sitting on Jessara – at anchor in Silva Bay, Canada. We've situated ourselves for an early morning crossing on the Strait of Georgia tomorrow. We left Anacortes on Friday and the last two days have really been more about provisioning, fueling, finishing projects and getting our dog use to hopping from one boat to another (important for those little shore breaks). We were on anchor last night outside of Ganges on Saltspring Island and more perfect evening could not have been asked for. The winds died down and the full moon rose up on the water. It was beautiful. I think I finally feel like I'm on vacation although it is a little harder leaving a job behind.

I have a dog lying on my feet and my husband is lightly snoring while taking the luxurious nap while the boat rocks gently in the bay. I'm going to go open up some wine and see some friends very soon and enjoy the sunset over the Gulf Islands -
